Dr. Bombard is the Chair of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program and brings over 20 years of experience in both clinical settings and higher education. Her clinical practice focused on in-patient and outpatient maternal-newborn care, and her teaching experience began with families in the community. Dr. Bombard transitioned to teaching in higher education in 2017, gaining experiences in simulation, clinical, and didactic modalities. She has held leadership roles in both clinical practice and academia.
Dr. Bombard has served on multiple academic committees and nursing advisory boards. She also served on the board of the Eta-Iota at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for four years, and currently serves on the Sigma Charter Review Taskforce at the international level. Dr. Bombard maintains active memberships in two Sigma Chapters and the National League for Nursing. Dr. Bombard’s areas of interest include quality improvement and the influence of artificial intelligence in nursing education and healthcare.

Bombard has taught at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels in nursing including nursing research, evidence-based practice, nursing leadership, graduate nursing role development, curriculum development, teaching and learning practices, nursing education practicum, doctoral practicum, pediatric clinical, maternity clinical, and fundamentals simulation.
