Information for Employers

The Internship and Career Center helps connect students and alumni with employers at job fairs held on campus as well as in the community. Endicott's Internship and Career Fair is held each spring, features area employers, and allows students and alumni to speak directly with employers about internship and full-time employment opportunities. In addition, we publicize career fairs held off campus via Gulls@Work.

Employers are invited to the Endicott campus to participate in a variety of activities designed to meet the recruitment efforts of individual organizations. On-campus interviews are conducted both in the fall and spring. Employers interested in participating in any on-campus recruiting activity should contact Brenda Campbell, Director of Employer Relations at bcampbel@endicott.edu.

Employers and alumni are invited to campus as guest lecturers to speak as up-and-comers, or well-known experts in their fields.

Panels and discussions are held throughout the fall and spring semesters to provide students with information and networking opportunities within a variety of industries and companies. Topics include targeting resumes and cover letters to specific industries, navigating job offers, applying to graduate and professional schools, conducting effective job/internship searches and interviews, and exploring post-graduation options, including working abroad. These events feature employers and alumni from well-known and emerging companies. Examples of events include: Careers in Professional Sports, Best Places to Work, Sales is More Than a Career Path, and Biotech Industry Panel.

We invite students to join our staff on "career treks" to New York City, Connecticut, and Boston! Employers will have the opportunity to give students a tour and an inside look into what makes their organization a great place to work.

As an employer in residence, you will have the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with students. This enables you access to a larger student population, along with the opportunity to generate additional applications for job and internship postings. Students have the opportunity to spend time with participating employers, asking questions about their organizations/companies. Students may also ask other career-related questions that may not directly relate to that employer's organization/company; e.g. resume critiques, interview tips, how to ask for informational interviews, and other areas of interest.

Endicott is a pioneer in requiring comprehensive internship experiences in every program of study for undergraduate students. A philosophy of "learning by doing" permeates the College curriculum in which students are encouraged to integrate theory and practice in all of their studies. The primary purpose of the internship, which is a required part of the academic curriculum, is to provide a learning experience of substance in a professional setting. Employers that are interested in hosting an intern should reach out to the Dean of Internship and Career Center or the Director of Employer Relations.

Job shadowing allows students to gain insight into workplace culture and career opportunities. This brief and temporary experience is a great career exploration activity that offers an opportunity to spend time with a professional currently working in a student’s career field of interest.
