A presidential inauguration is among the most significant traditions in higher education. The ceremony formally installs a college or university president, celebrates the institution's mission and values, and brings together members of the campus community and distinguished guests to mark the beginning of a new chapter in institutional leadership.-
Schedule of Events
3:45 p.m. – Academic Processional | Hempstead Stadium
Faculty, trustees, delegates from colleges and universities, and distinguished guests will process into the stadium in a longstanding academic tradition that marks the beginning of the inauguration ceremony.4 p.m. – Inauguration & Convocation Ceremony | Hempstead Stadium
The College community will gather to formally install Bryan Cain, Ph.D., as Endicott's eighth president while celebrating the opening of the 2026–27 academic year. The ceremony will include the presidential investiture, inaugural address, Convocation traditions, and recognition of the faculty and incoming class.5:30 p.m. – Welcome Back Barbecue | Academic Quad & Around the Lakes
Following the ceremony, students, faculty, and staff are invited to celebrate the start of the academic year at Endicott's annual Welcome Back Barbecue. Dinner service will not be available in Callahan Center this evening.5:30 p.m. – Inauguration Reception & Dinner (invite only)
