- Dr. Mitsakis was accepted to the distinguished Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program at the Parkinson’s Foundation. The highly prestigious Nurse Faculty Program improves Parkinson's disease nursing care by training faculty leaders across the U.S. to educate nursing students. As one of just 35 accepted faculty in 2018, Dr. Mitsakis joined an elite group of 228 alumni—Parkinson’s Foundation Nurse Scholars—who have completed the intensive training over the last nine years.
