School of Sport Science

Endicott College’s School of Sport Science allows students to engage in a global and expanding industry that combines extensive knowledge and intricacies of sport with administration, finance, analytics, management, technology, and law; or find your passion working in human performance, allied health, or community wellness and rehabilitation. Programs of study include Esports ManagementSport Management, Exercise Science (with a concentration in Allied Health), and Exercise Science/Pre-Professional Athletic Training
 
At the graduate level, students can continue studies with a Master of Science in Athletic Training or Master of Science in Sport Leadership, which can be completed in standard form or as a Fifth Year Program.

In addition, minors in nutrition & wellness, Esports management, and exercise science are offered, along with a certification in coaching.

Human Performance Lab
Provides students with the essential practical experiences to be successful classroom students, interns, and entry level professionals. Within this lab students will evaluate the effects of exercise and activity on human performance, general health, and disease.

Modalities Lab & Hydrotherapy Room
Our hydrotherapy room that houses our hot and cold water treatment modalities such as the Hydroworx Underwater Treadmill, two whirlpools, and an ice machine. The Underwater treadmill is the key feature of this space. The underwater treadmill will allow students to explore numerous rehabilitation and performance enhancement options, treatment philosophies, and evaluation techniques.

Therapeutic Lab
This lab will host courses related to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of athletic injuries and conditions. This lab features 3 video capture systems that will allow faculty and students observe skills, evaluations and interventions in real time or review from recorded practical examinations. The video capture system includes three wall mounted video cameras, three microphones and three monitors. This lab feature is essential for student critical reflection and psychomotor skill and performance assessment. Other tools and resources in the lab include: Biodex dynamometer to measure kinetic muscle imbalances and exposure to injury, Biodex balance system to examine postural control and concussion evaluation, AND other rehabilitation and training aids.

Accreditations

The sport management program has been awarded maximum accreditation by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA), a specialized accrediting body whose purpose is to promote and recognize excellence in sport management education worldwide. The athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
