  • Program Overview

The BFA in Studio Art at Endicott offers a concentration in two-dimensional media: illustration, painting, and printmaking.

Endicott's 2-D concentration focuses on both traditional and contemporary practices in illustration, painting, and printmaking. Our courses explore a wide range of media concurrently building formal, technical, and conceptual skills while supporting the development of the artistic voice. As you progress through the program, you will work intensely on that vision and build a strong and consistent body of work.

Unique upper-level courses help you develop connections within your imagery while you learn how to present work to galleries and apply for grants and commissions. Faculty and visiting artists will speak about how you can carve your own niche in the contemporary art world. You will graduate from the 2-D program fully prepared to gain employment at galleries or museums, teach art, earn a master's degree, or work as a professional artist or freelance illustrator.
